Bali yoga retreat with being yoga.
Well I haven’t blogged in so long! Life gets in the way and then time fly’s!
The last six months have been a whirlwind of changing directions in my life, getting in touch with my spirit and learning.
It started with a month in India in January getting my yoga 200 hours teaching certificate to coming home and doing my level two 500 hours locally with my favourite school..Learning new and better ways to enhance my practise and teaching skills.
I hardly take photographs anymore and at the moment it feels right to me…I lost the joy and it became stressful, I felt I was losing myself in a narcissistic world. Running away was the best thing I could do, for myself and my family..I learnt some valuable life long skills which I now incorporate into my daily routine and I feel a new sense of calmness within.
Life is different and so much better, My life now is not about trying to be the best, its about being humble. I’m working in an aged care facility in the high care ward with dementia patients..There is nothing like bringing you down to earth and bringing about a humble heart then to look after these beautiful people everyday to make their lives more comfortable until the day when they pass on from this world.
I also had the amazing chance of going with my best buddy over to Ubud, Bali for a belated 40th birthday present to each other. We hadn’t done something like this since the Ansett days over 15 years ago.
We went with an organised group from my local yoga school (Being Yoga) and had 7 days of yoga, meditation, drinking cashew nut frosty milkshakes and enjoying the locals…I only took a few photos whilst there so here they are to share:)
Next year the retreat will be held in Thailand…Who’s in??
